BrainLingo ("BrainLingo," "we," "us") builds a vocabulary-learning mobile app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account & authentication
We sign you in with a one-time code sent to your email address, or via Sign in with Apple / Google Sign-In. We store your email, an account identifier, and (optionally) a display name and your chosen interface and study languages.
Learning data
To run the game and track your progress we store things like completed lessons, scores, stars, streaks, hearts/power, gems, and achievements.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple (and, in future, Google Play) and managed through RevenueCat, our subscription provider. We receive subscription status (active/expired, plan, renewal/expiry dates) so we can unlock Premium. We never see or store your full payment card details.
Advertising
Non-premium users may see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers to deliver and measure ads, subject to Google's policies and your device privacy settings. Premium users see no ads.
Technical data
We process basic technical information needed to deliver the service (e.g. requests to our API). Quiz audio and images are served from our own servers.
2. How we use your information
- Provide and personalize the learning experience and save your progress.
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Unlock and manage Premium entitlements.
- Show ads to non-premium users.
- Send essential account emails (such as your sign-in code).
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the app.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the app — Apple and Google (sign-in, payments, ads), RevenueCat (subscriptions), and our email and hosting providers — and only as needed to provide the service or where required by law.
4. Data retention
We keep your account and learning data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.
5. Your choices & rights
- Delete your account in-app, or email us to request deletion.
- Access or correct your information by contacting us.
- Control ad personalization and tracking in your device settings.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store / Google Play account.
6. Children
BrainLingo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
7. International users
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We take steps to protect it consistent with this policy.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
